The Influence Social Support on Self-Efficacy and Quality of Life in Breast Cancer Patients
Abstract
Cancer is a disease characterized by growth of abnormal cells that can spread to other parts of the body and can cause death. Breast cancer treatment efforts can be done with various methods, one of which is improving the quality of life. This study to determine the effect of social support on self-efficacy and quality of life of breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy procedures. Study design is cross-sectional using the SmartPLS 4.0. The technique used consecutive sampling, sample size of 95 people. There is a positive effect between social support on self-efficacy of breast cancer patients (p value 0.000), there is a positive effect between social support on quality of life of breast cancer patients (p value 0.000), there is a positive effect between self-efficacy on quality of life of breast cancer patients (p value 0.000) and there is an effect of social support on quality of life of breast cancer patients mediated by self-efficacy with a substantially strong value (R2> 0.75). There is a positive influence between social support, self-efficacy on the quality of life of breast cancer patients and there is a positive influence between social support on the quality of life of breast cancer patients mediated by self-efficacy.
